About Open House

The Show

Open House is a live, three-hour talkback radio show exploring life, faith and culture from a Christian perspective. Aiming to catalyse spiritual growth and motivate Christian action, each week’s show includes compelling interviews, engaging talkback, film and media reviews, and expert opinion on the issues of the day. You’ll hear inspiring stories of faith, grapple with the big questions of life, have a laugh, and catch the odd live music performance along the way.

Open House first opened its doors, flung out the welcome mat and invited all and sundry to enter in April 2006, and has since grown to become a nationally-syndicated program. Feature guests have included national and international names like Eugene Peterson, Andrew Denton, John Eldridge, Joni Eareckson-Tada, Tim Costello, Tony Campolo, Tim Flannery, James Morrison, Alister McGrath, Ravi Zecharias, as well as a host of everyday folks doing extraordinary things.

Open House is informative, challenging, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always enlightening. As a devoted listener I particularly enjoy Sheridan’s interpretations of current issues and every day events, as well as the constant flow of amazing and diverse guests. I love the fact that people from all walks of life, all faiths and cultures feel confident enough to phone in and contribute, and the underlying Christian thread means that Open House touches our hearts and lives with both joy and hope. It truly is a blessing!
