In October 2006, the world was shocked when ten schoolgirls from Pennsylvania’s Amish community were gunned down in their classroom. Yet in the midst of that dark event, grace shone through. Though the popular images of buggies, beards and bonnets often stereotype the Amish as backward, this week we’ll hear how their Christian beliefs motivated radical forgiveness towards the shooter and his family.
An act of compassion in an age of violence—hear the full story this Sunday.

Eighteen years ago, even though my husband and I already had 1 child, every time we conceived I miscarried during 1st trimester.
That's when I made a pact with God, that if God would give me another child I would call him Samuel and bring him up to know and love the Lord just as Hannah did in the OT.
So we prayed that God would take control of the situation and then left it with him.
During the next Christmas break while attending CMS Summer School at Katoomba, we met a lady who had a son who was an obstetrician at the Womens Hospital who'd been researching this very subject. After seeing us and doing all he could, we were referred to a christian nursing consultant, who was heading a program at Sydney's RPA Hospital for couples in this situation. You had to have had at least 3 miscarriages to the same person which qualified us to take part. She explained due to the woman not making antibodies in her blood, could be the reason and couples taking part were having 85-95% success rate.
ASAP we joined & both had to give blood in the morning.During the day my antibodies were treated, then injected subcutaneously in my forearm tissue in the afternoon. I miscarried again. We felt that God had deserted us, so after giving my body a chance to recover we tried again and this time my husband's blood was treated. God in his infinite wisdom knew that I needed to learn patience. Our 2nd child, a daughter, Daria was born.
We thought God was finished, but he had other plans. Samuel James was born 16 months later and since that day we have been giving thanks and praise to such a mighty and merciful God that we couldn't be happier.
