The discussion was helpful for me. I have bought the book and I am reading it now.

I listened to the interview on forgiveness. It was really good. I heard this interview after I'd just read a story by Corrie Ten Boom on forgiveness that I felt rather challenged by. God confirmed to me last night that I need to forgive a friend of mine. I did that. It was hard to say the words. Today, I woke up feeling happy and a sense of relief. I know God will continue to help me through this.

I have a question for the other side. What do you do when you, as the offender, have acknowledged your wrong, genuinely repented, and sought forgiveness from the person you've hurt, only to have it refused you?
Can you hurt someone so much that they cannot find it in themselves to forgive? And if they don't, I would wonder if your relationship with them is sustainable, or will it be irrevocably irreparable?
