On Open House this week, the story of Diana Thomas. In 2001, as the ‘War on Terror’ had just begun, a group of aid workers were captured in Afghanistan—Australians Diana Thomas and Peter Bunch included. After three months in a squalid Taliban prison, with the constant threat of execution, Diana and her colleagues were rescued in a dramatic night time raid. Six years later, Diana will recount her story, and tell us what her life has become.
Plus, film reviews, the latest in music, and a priest who can’t help clowning around!

Hi,
I remember in 2001 when Diana Thomas and the other Christian Aid workers were arrested. It felt like a sea of Christians praying for this group.
I have read the recount of what happend to Diana Thomas and the other Christian Aid workers it is a mind blowing experience.
The book I read was called Escape from Kabul.
I would say most definitely the Hand of God was upon them. It reminds me of the story of when Peter was released from prison. There are many similarities.
I am hoping that Diana Thomas will be speaking somewhere in Sydney soon so that my children, husband and friends can hear her story.
God Bless,
Sandra Vazzoler.
