Is climate change going to be THE issue of the next federal election?
Both Labor and Liberal parties have different ideas about what should be done to tackle climate change, and both have different ideas about when and how Australia should go about reducing emissions.
The Labor party – says it will be aiming to reduce emissions by 60 per cent by 2050
The Liberal party – hasn’t yet set a target, but says it will do so next year. The Prime Minister says a carbon emissions trading scheme will be implemented by 2012.
But is this an issue you even care about in the lead up to the Federal election?
Is a policy on climate change important enough to you – to sway your vote one way or the other?
Maybe policies on education, health or welfare are more important to you than action on climate change.
I want to know how crucial an election issue this will be for you?

As Christian's we need to remind ourselves that in this world their are competing world views. Empricism and its supporters the government's education system preached a final reality that is 'impersonal'.
The Judeo Christian system teaches us about the God who is there in the nature of the Trinity where love and communication have always occurred. Here our human apsirations even though they are filtered through sinful souls have validity.
The empiricist would have us believe that our world is under a climate change threat and all that follows apparently naturally from that, mostly doom. The Bible talks about fire and brimstone and not climate change. This is why John Howard and Bush wont sign the Kyoto aggreement. it would mean that they have shifted their principle methodology in the direction of Hegel's dialectical methodology.
If climate change is a major politcal theme, then the empiricists have won the day again with a more boiterous appraoch. As a Christian I cannot except their ideas because they simply come from the 'chance' section of postmodernism. If the Bible says Jonah got swallowed by a giant see creature that spat him out after 3 days, then thats what happened. Any mathematical departure from absolute parrallelism with Scripture here would be the 'chance' section.
Behind the word love stands the alwaysness of the relationship between the members of the Trinity. We the Christian have intellectual integrity our dying world shall know about very soon. Fire and brimstone will destroy our earth and nothing else despite what the new reilgion the sciences tell us through our education system. Any wonder why the kids in America are killing each other. Education has taught them that they equal a zero and now they are trying to authenticate their existence in whatever way seems right. J
ean Paul Sartre wrote about this as did Nitshcke over 100 years ago. Even Da Vinci saw it because he like Sartre knew that without an infinite reference point everything is absurd.
